Vanessa Carrington, Project & Communications Manager

Vanessa has more than 27 years of experience working as a strategic communications specialist, project manager, technical writer, and copyeditor. Her extensive writing and communication skills and pragmatic style, coupled with her highly adaptable skillset, have earned her a reputation for exceeding expectations.

Vanessa has spent her career managing all types of information from writing multi-million-dollar marketing plans and grant proposals, community policy documents, and technical user guides, to developing data analysis reports, complex bid proposals, and multi-year business strategies. She previously led Tourism Whistler’s marketing team before becoming Project Manager for Visa’s 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games program. She has since worked for several outdoor companies, government organizations, and technology start-ups.

Vanessa has a Bachelor of Information Management from Deakin University and a Graduate Certificate in Information Innovation from RMIT University. She is also certified through the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2).
